Vehicle: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 56,005 I am filing this complaint to bring to NHTSA's attention a safety concern regarding Ford Motor Company's decision to make the Blue Cruise driver-assistance system available only via a paid subscription beginning January 2027, at a cost of $49.99 per month. Spitzer Ford in [XXX] sold me a new 2025 Ford Mustang Mach E with an open recall. I purchased the vehicle on xxx and this recall had been open and active since 1/26/26. 2 days after buying the vehicle xxx the dealership started calling me about an open recall that needed fixed. I was told by the dealership that they could not list the car as sold with Ford until the recall had been adjusted and they were waiting on a $4,000 rebate. If this recall was open since January, known to the dealership,…

I was driving normally at about 45 mph with no strong acceleration, after about 20 minutes of driving... Then Cross Traffic Alert, Crash Alert, ABS Failure Alert, Parking Brake Fault Alert, and probably more alerts suddenly went off while driving. Warning Lights for all these features stayed on, and I completely lost regenerative braking and power braking. I'm not sure if I lost anything else because I immediately pulled over, having to stand on the brakes to slowly stop. Once at a stop, I…

On 6/4, I completed a long road trip of over 650 miles. When I got back into my vehicle to move it to where it would be parked for the night, it displayed messages for a Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power and a High Voltage Battery Warning. I powered the car off and back on within about 5 minutes, and the messages were still being displayed. I connected a code scanner to the car and the car had stored codes P0D0F and P0AA4. Both of these codes indicated a fault with the High Voltage Battery…

On Thursday, May28 I was driving my 2025 Ford Mach-2 on Schrock Rd. in Columbus, Ohio at approximately 3:30 PM when the hood (the frunk) of the car unexpectedly unlatched and opened, flying up to a vertical position and obscuring my view of traffic. I was driving in the left lane of this road at 40-45 mph. My view of the road was immediately obstructed, but I was able to crouch sufficiently to see enough of the road ahead and the mirrors on each side to navigate to the right lane and then to…

While I was driving the brakes did not work. I had to slam on the brakes in order to stop the car. The back portion of the car then skid. The following warnings were sent to the phone and appeared on the dashboard as well. There were more on the dashboard but since I was driving I focused on trying to maneuver the car and not reading the dashboard. Not knowing what happened I continued to drive to duplicate the issue. The brakes were consistently only working when slamming on the brakes…

The vehicle’s rear/360 camera system, SYNC/APIM display system, and Reverse Brake Assist/back-over prevention system appear to have malfunctioned. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. After a software update was performed by the Ford dealer, the vehicle began displaying the warning message: “Reverse Brake Assist not available — See manual.” At the same time, the rear/360 camera image became distorted and unreliable. The camera display has shown abnormal behavior, including…
